Archaeology

Cultural Heritage Research Services, Inc. (CHRS) is currently seeking field technicians for permanent, full-time employment for our North Wales, Pennsylvania office (in the Philadelphia area).

Candidates must have a BA, and have taken an archaeology field school. Preference will be given to individuals with experience in the Mid-Atlantic area. Experience in CRM is preferred, but not required.

The position entails both field and lab work. Field projects range from Phase I to III. Lab work will primarily entail washing artifacts, but may include other duties. After a period of employment, this position includes a range of benefits, including paid holidays, sick, personal and vacation time, health insurance and 401K.

Candidates must live in or relocate to southeastern PA, as much of the work requires a daily commute to the local office. Travel, lodging and food will be provided for all overnight projects (more than 60 miles from the local office). Starting pay generally ranges $10.75-12.75/hr., based on experience.
